Busker Fest 2019
Over the past weekend, I had the opportunity to perform at the San Diego Busker Fest. For those curious, “busker” is another name for a street performer. I was able to meet some of the excellent performers that came from all over, from Japan to Canada, and many states in between. An awesome write up by a local blogger can be found here.
The weather Saturday was cold and wet. There were few people that came out, but those that did hung in with the performers and didn’t walk away in the middle of the shows just because of the weather.
Sunday was a better day entirely. I could tell it was going to be a better day just by the number of cars already in the parking lot when I pulled in. All of the performers had bigger crowds and bigger hats(amount of tips in the hat at the end of the performance).
I was lucky enough to have Alan Sands video my performance. It is the first time in a long time I have seen a video of me performing. It helped to shed light on several areas that I need improving. You can find his videos here. Thanks to Alan for videotaping me and all of the people that came out to support street performers.
